Layering

     I've mentioned it before in my Spring in my step post, but I find that layering is a good way to beat the cold, and is also very comfortable. Instead of wearing one 'fashion' shirt or blouse, I create interest in an outfit by layering basics. A t-shirt, a cardigan, and a jacket is much more practical than just one Insubstantial top. It can be much more aesthetically pleasing as well, to mix colors and prints in layers. For those of you who are daunted by all the differnt styles out there, just buy a bunch of basics in colors that work together, so not only can you make more outfits, but  it's easier to pick out an outfit in the morning since everything goes together!
